What if QR-code does not work?

If you scan a QR-code in Timelies with your Whatsapp mobile app and there are no actions happening after than it is worth checking if you use beta-version of Whatsapp and if it’s so you need to disable it.

Currently we don’t support beta-version rolled out by Whatsapp.

How to check if I have beta-version of Whatsapp?

  1. Go to Settings on your Whatsapp mobile app
  2. Press Linked Devices button
  3. You will see Multi-Device Beta version sign with the indicator Joined

For IOS:

Beta version WA

For Android:

Beta Android

Disable Multi-Device Beta version of Whatsapp

If you have enabled Multi-Device Beta version your QR-code for Timelines is not going to work.

We suggest you to leave beta-version and try to scan QR-code again.

To disable Multi-Device Beta version on your Whatsapp:

  1. Go to Settings on your Whatsapp mobile app
  2. Press Linked Devices button
  3. You will see Multi-Device Beta version sign with the indicator Joined
  4. Press Multi-Device Beta to see more detailes
  5. Press Leave Beta at the bottom of the screen

For IOS:

QR code doesn’t work or is not generated but I am not using Beta

Sometimes, Whatsapp may display an error saying that you need to make sure you’re connecting on web.whatsapp.com.

To fix it:

  1. Press Reconnect on Whatsapp tab
  2. Scan a newly generated QR code with Whatsapp on your mobile phone the same way as it is explained here.
