WhatsApp for Multiple Numbers

WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging platforms out there for its simplicity and ease of use. However, it doesn’t allow for creating more than one account. So, what should you do if you want to have WhatsApp for multiple numbers?

Luckily, there’s a way around WhatsApp’s strict rules. Whether built-in inside your device or with the help of a third-party app, having over one WhatsApp account on a single phone is possible.

In this article, you’ll learn all the tricks of creating multiple WhatsApp accounts on a single device. You’ll also discover if your smartphone has an additional feature addressing such an issue or if you need to download a separate app. Keep reading to find out.

Reasons for Having WhatsApp for Multiple Numbers

WhatsApp is a widely used instant messaging application with billions of active users. It provides a secure and convenient space for communication, whether for personal interactions or business use.

Primarily, you may be wondering why some people would want to have more than one WhatsApp account. Actually, there are many reasons for that, including:

  • Separating Personal and Professional Life: Many people prefer to keep their personal and professional communication separate by having two WhatsApp numbers.
  • Enhanced Privacy: Using multiple numbers allows people to control who has access to their personal information. They may choose to have a phone number for their family and close friends while using a different one for other online interactions.
  • Managing Multiple Businesses: For business owners who manage more than one venture, having a separate WhatsApp number is the best action to maintain distinct communication channels for each business.
  • Global Expansion: When a business grows to reach a global audience, having separate phone numbers is best to give it a local presence in every country.
  • Temporary Number: Some people may need an extra WhatsApp account for temporary reasons, such as online marketplaces, online dating, etc.
  • Avoiding Spam: Signing up for online activities using a secondary phone number saves people the hassle of receiving spam and unwanted messages on their primary phone number.

How To Have WhatsApp for Multiple Numbers

If you have a phone with dual SIM cards, you already enjoy the convenience of having two phone numbers. However, you may find that creating a WhatsApp account for each number is a bit complicated.

Although not allowed through the app itself, there are a few ways to operate WhatsApp for multiple numbers on your smart device. So, don’t give up on it just yet, and take a look at what you can do.

Method #1: App Cloning Feature

Many phone manufacturers have implemented a built-in app cloning feature to allow users to have two versions of the same app on their phones.

Of course, the existence of such a feature depends on the phone’s brand and model. Yet, it’s one of the best methods to have WhatsApp for multiple numbers.

Here’s how to activate this option on the following smart devices with native app cloners.

  • Samsung: Many Samsung devices support app-cloning, especially those with One UI. All you need to do is open the Settings Menu, select Advanced Features, and then Dual Messenger to select the app you want to clone.
  • Xiaomi/Redmi/POCO: These smartphones share the same user interface MIU, which offers many features, including the Dual App. To access it, go to phone settings and tap Dual Apps.
  • One Plus/Oppo: On your phone, head to the phone’s settings, select Apps, and tap Parallel Apps. You’ll see a list of apps you can duplicate and use with another account.
  • Huawei/Honor: It’s almost the same process when it comes to Huawei and Honor phones. Just go to settings, choose App Twin, and tap the switch next to WhatsApp to toggle it on.
  • Asus/Vivo/Other Smartphone Brands: By now, you should get the idea. You can make a clone app of WhatsApp for a secondary phone number from your device’s settings, whether under App Clone, Twin Apps, etc.

Method #2: WhatsApp Business

While the previous method is ideal, it doesn’t work with iOS phones. So, if you have an iPhone, you can use the official WhatsApp Business app as an alternative.

WhatsApp Business is primarily designed for business, providing a range of features to facilitate seamless communication with clients. Yet, you can use it to set up another WhatsApp account using a different number, even if you don’t actually own a business.

That said, there’s one setback associated with using WhatsApp Business for personal messaging. When you use it to chat with someone, the app notifies the other party about your account being a business account, which might be confusing for some.

Other than that, WhatsApp Business is quite similar to ordinary WhatsApp and just as easy to set up.

Method #3: Third-Party Apps

If your phone doesn’t support app cloning and you don’t like using WhatsApp Business, there’s still another option. Some third-party apps allow you to create a duplicate version of specific apps. These apps include:

1. Dual Space

Dual Space is a fantastic app that lets you create identical replicas of your favorite mobile apps, including WhatsApp. So, you can use it to have two WhatsApp accounts on the same device, each with its own settings and data.

2. Parallel Space

Just like Dual Space, Parallel Space allows you to manage multiple accounts for the same app. For example, you can have two or more WhatsApp accounts with various phone numbers.

3. Messenger Duo

Messenger Duo is another mobile app that enables you to do much more with just a single device. Among its many features is running two different WhatsApp accounts, allowing for more convenience.

Using WhatsApp for multiple numbers offers a great solution for both personal and business communication needs. Whether you want to have more privacy, separate your personal life from your professional life, or manage multiple businesses, you can do it quite easily.

If your phone doesn’t already support app cloning, you can always use WhatsApp Business. Alternatively, you may try one of the various third-party apps that allow you to create app duplicates.

In all cases, you have suitable options to choose from, depending on your requirements and preferences. So, don’t hesitate to explore the available possibilities and make the most out of their features.
