TimelinesAI

Using Claude Code, Cursor or Codex?

Coding tools connect with one terminal command or a few lines in a config file instead of settings. They also need Node.js, a free program your IT team may already have installed.

After adding it, fully quit the app and open it again. The first question about WhatsApp opens the same TimelinesAI sign-in page, and everything in this guide works the same way.

Why it matters

It's the same connector and the same sign-in, so developers can stay in the tools they already work in all day.

Claude Code

  1. 1

    Run this command in your terminal.

    Terminal
    claude mcp add timelinesai -- npx -y mcp-remote@latest https://mcp.services.timelines.ai/mcp --host 127.0.0.1

    Or install the plugin instead:

    Claude Code
    /plugin marketplace add InitechSoftware/whatsapp-mcp-by-timelinesai
    /plugin install timelinesai-whatsapp@timelinesai
    Terminal after the command, showing timelinesai added
  2. 2

    Start a new Claude Code session so it picks up the connector.

Cursor

  1. 1

    Paste this block into ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

    JSON
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "timelinesai": {
          "command": "npx",
          "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote@latest", "https://mcp.services.timelines.ai/mcp", "--host", "127.0.0.1"]
        }
      }
    }
    The config file open with the TimelinesAI block pasted in
  2. 2

    Fully quit the app and open it again. Closing the window isn't enough.

    Quitting the app from the menu bar

Claude Desktop (config file)

Prefer a config file to the Connectors screen? Claude Desktop takes the same block as Cursor.

  1. 1

    Open Settings → Developer → Edit Config and paste the block.

    JSON
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "timelinesai": {
          "command": "npx",
          "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote@latest", "https://mcp.services.timelines.ai/mcp", "--host", "127.0.0.1"]
        }
      }
    }
  2. 2

    Fully quit the app and open it again. Closing the window isn't enough.

    Quitting the app from the menu bar

Codex

  1. 1

    Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml.

    TOML
    [mcp_servers.timelinesai]
    command = "npx"
    args = ["-y", "mcp-remote@latest", "https://mcp.services.timelines.ai/mcp", "--host", "127.0.0.1"]
    Codex config.toml with the TimelinesAI server added
  2. 2

    Restart Codex.

?

If something's off. No browser tab opened: copy the sign-in link from the app's log and open it yourself. Cursor says the redirect doesn't match: check the config says mcp-remote@latest.
