Connect Gemini
Gemini, Google's AI assistant, can now work with your WhatsApp inbox. Connect TimelinesAI once, then ask Gemini about your chats the way you ask it anything else: who's waiting for a reply, what a customer wanted, what to send next.
There are two ways in. The Gemini app takes a few clicks and needs nothing installed. Gemini CLI is for developers who work in a terminal. Both use the same TimelinesAI sign-in.
If Gemini is already where you search, write and plan, your customer conversations can live there too. No copying chats out of WhatsApp and no switching tabs.
In the Gemini app
Right now Google offers custom connectors on personal Google accounts (Gmail) for people 18 and over in the US, with Gemini Apps Activity turned on. Work and school accounts don't have the option yet.
- 1
Open Gemini with your personal Google account. Go to Customize → Connectors and click + Custom.
- 2
Paste this address, and name the connector TimelinesAI if Gemini asks for a name.
Connector addresshttps://mcp.services.timelines.ai/mcp - 3
Sign in to TimelinesAI when asked, then click Authorize to let Gemini read and work with your chats.
- 4
Ask Gemini about your inbox:
PromptWhat needs me today?
In Gemini CLI
For developers. You need Node.js installed, and Gemini CLI signed in with a Gemini API key.
- 1
Add the connector in your terminal.
Terminalgemini mcp add timelinesai npx -y mcp-remote@latest https://mcp.services.timelines.ai/mcp --host 127.0.0.1 - 2
Start gemini. The first time, a browser tab opens: log in to TimelinesAI and grant access. Type
/mcpto check that timelinesai shows Connected. - 3
Then ask:
PromptWhat WhatsApp accounts do I have in TimelinesAI, and is each one connected?
Prefer a settings file? Add TimelinesAI to ~/.gemini/settings.json under mcpServers with "command": "npx" and "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote@latest", "https://mcp.services.timelines.ai/mcp", "--host", "127.0.0.1"], then start gemini.
